First Pioneer looks to buy properties that are not being utilized or operated at their highest and best use. With the family’s access to capital and management experience, the property is acquired and developed with an emphasis on long term ownership.
The family views their real estate investments as generational. The land division of First Pioneer’s business buys raw land at the wholesale level and after installing utilities, roads and other necessary infrastructure, sells the land to individual lot owners on a retail basis.
Suresh joined First Pioneer Properties in 1989. He has over 25 years of real estate experience including acquisitions, financing, development, leasing and management. Suresh is a graduate of Harvard College and New York University School of Law. He serves on the Board of Directors of Valley National Bank. He also serves on the Board of Governors of the Arthritis Foundation New York Chapter and Landmark on Main Street, a community center in his hometown.
Lenny joined First Pioneer Properties in 1983, and supervises the company’s accounting department. He is a Certified Public Accountant, and has 30 years experience in all aspects of real estate accounting, acquisitions, sales and tax issues. Prior to joining First Pioneer, Lenny worked as a senior auditor for Edward Isaacs and Co., now RSM McGladrey. Lenny is a graduate of Brooklyn College. He is a member of the American Institute of CPA’s, NYS Society of CPA’S, and the New Jersey Society of CPA’S. He has previously served on Tax Advisory Committees for both the AICPA and the NJSCPA.
Bill has been the Director of Asset Management at First Pioneer Properties since January 2002. He has over 20 years of diverse real estate experience including residential and commercial property management, ground up development, construction management, Brownfield reclamations, commercial leasing/sales/acquisitions and real estate finance. His real estate credentials include a Master’s Degree in Real Estate Finance from New York University and a New York Real Estate Broker license.
John has been the Director of Property Management of First Pioneer’s New York portfolio since 1992. John has over 25 years of real estate property management experience including building management, construction management and tenant relations. His educational background in architecture from New York City Technical College and his previous construction and management experience from Davis/Kelly Associates and Bradford Swett Management helps him effectively manage multiple buildings and cater to every tenant’s needs.
